Abstract
This article explores the time scales for the depletion of carboneous stock energy resources and the fluctuations in the two main flow energies available, wind power and photovoltaic solar power. The scale of these fluctuations, given the current state of energy storage possibilities, limits their penetration rate in electricity grids.
