Le Prix Nobel de Physique 2012 a été décerné conjointement à Serge Haroche (Collège de France et École normale supérieure) et David Wineland (National Institute for Standards and Technology) pour des réalisations expérimentales spectaculaires, permettant de mesurer et manipuler des systèmes quantiques individuels (“ground-breaking experimental methods that enable measuring and manipulation of individual quantum systems”).
